Hiro Aganeya

Hiro Aganeya is the Frost Pillar, an original character created by dedek and set in the Demon Slayer universe. He practises Frost Breathing, a Breathing Style that does not exist in the original work, and wields the Nichirin that AstroStuff puts in your hands. He doesn't appear in game yet: you meet him through his blade.

The Frost Pillar

The two kanji engraved on one side of his blade, 霜柱, read "frost pillar". They also name the needles of ice that push up out of the ground on winter mornings. On the other side, 悪鬼滅殺 — "destroy the demons" — as on the blades of every Pillar.

A Pillar never leaves his blade: that is why the Nichirin stays at its wielder's hip, even while he holds something else.

A silent fighter

• His blade makes no sound as it moves. Only two things ring out clearly: the steel leaving the scabbard, and the "chin" of the tsuba when he puts it away. In between, air freezing and crystals forming.
• He never takes a guard: he gives his opponent nothing to read. His blade stays sheathed until the cut, and the draw is the cut.
• His frost does not strike, it settles: his cuts leave a trail and hanging crystals in the air, like a scar left in the atmosphere, and the cold gets into the wound.

His looks

His blade carries his colours: the weapon's only red, a thread on the blade's collar, is the red of his obi and of his eyes. Everything else is white and ice blue.

His blade

Hiro's blade is pure white, "the white of absolute zero, of the space between the stars, not the white of snow", laced with fine ice-blue crystalline patterns, like frost caught in the middle of forming. The tsuba is white, the hilt and scabbard are braided. Every detail: Nichirin of the Frost Pillar.
