The Sealed Armory
Step-by-step guide to the Imperial Army's armory: the ruin, the shaft, the talisman corridor, the weapon hall and the Black Demon vault.
Somewhere, a ruin overgrown with ivy, a red torii standing before it. Under a moss carpet, a steel trapdoor; below, a spiral staircase that goes down into the depths. A corridor covered in talismans, a gate sealed by dozens of ofuda, then a hall where hundreds of cursed weapons are planted in the ground. And at the very back, a hungry lock guarding the vault of the Black Demons. Here is how to reach the end.
Finding the armory
- Rarity: the world tries to place at most one armory per 96 × 96 chunk area, with at least 64 chunks between two. Many spots fail: it is a genuine find.
- Biomes: plains (and sunflower plains), meadows, cherry groves, savannas (and plateaus), desert, snowy plains, every forest, taigas, jungles and badlands.
- Altitude: never under water (the ground must be at least 2 blocks above sea level) nor above y = 150: no ruins on mountain tops.
- Landmark: a red concrete torii, with its dark oak beam and blackstone slab roof, stands 14 blocks in front of the entrance.
Stage 1 — The ruin
A 17 × 19 enclosure of stone bricks, cracked and mossy bricks, grey concrete and andesite, with eroded walls (3 to 9 blocks high, the corners still stand), barred windows, and ivy hanging outside. The entrance is a collapsed section of the front wall. Inside: rubble, toppled steps, moss carpets, and a half-collapsed upper floor.
A partition splits the ruin in two; you reach the back room through a
steel door (it opens by hand).
Where is the trapdoor?
In the back room, look for the only ofuda stuck on the back wall at eye level: it is the only clue. The steel trapdoor is in the floor on the same line, back towards the entrance, with 4 blocks between it and the wall, hidden under a moss carpet. Remove the carpet and open the trapdoor by hand.
Stage 2 — The shaft
A narrow spiral staircase (3 × 3 around a central pillar) goes down to y = -38, one block per step. The walls turn from stone bricks to deepslate bricks below y = 0. Soul torches light the way, and the deeper you go, the more talismans cover the walls.
Depending on the ruin's altitude, expect 100 to 190 blocks of descent. At the bottom, another steel door opens onto the corridor.
Stage 3 — The corridor and the sealed gate
A 49-block corridor, 7 wide, lined with polished blackstone and chiseled pillars, lit by hanging soul lanterns.
Ofuda are everywhere: on the walls, on the ceiling, a few fallen to the floor.
At the end stands the
sealed gate: 5 × 5 indestructible blocks framed in demon steel, and in front of each cell, 2 to 4 ofuda stuck on top of one another — between 50 and 100 in total, 75 on average.
- Right-click an ofuda on the gate: you tear off one (one in four falls whole and can be picked up).
- You can also break a stack of ofuda by hand: the whole stack goes at once, and one drops.
- Every ten remaining ofuda, the gate whispers.
- When the last one is torn off, the gate opens with a rumble: its rows vanish from top to bottom, as if it sank into the floor.
Stage 4 — The weapon hall
A 41 × 43 hall, 15 blocks high, whose shell is made of indestructible
Seal Stone: the sealed gate is the only way in. Sixteen talisman-covered pillars, soul lanterns, and everywhere, planted blade-down in rubble mounds, upright or leaning: hundreds of
mass-produced cursed weapons — katanas, twin blades, spears, axes, scythes and bows, at random.
- A 7-block central aisle stays clear all the way to the back.
- Right-click a
displayed weapon to take it (it goes to your inventory, or drops if it is full). The block disappears. - Displayed weapons are indestructible: you can only pick them up.
Stage 5 — The lock and the Black Demon vault
At the end of the aisle stands the
Black Demon Gate (5 wide, 7 high), framed in demon steel and topped by a green-glowing
demon sigil. In front of it, on a blackstone dais: the
Demon Lock.
- Right-click it empty-handed: "The lock is hungry. It wants a demon weapon."
- Right-click with a mass-produced cursed weapon in hand: the lock devours it (the weapon is consumed), lights up, and the Black Demon Gate sinks in turn.
- Behind it, a 17-step staircase inside an indestructible sheath goes down to y = -55.
The vault
A dark-wood shrine, modelled on the room where Yū finds Asuramaru in the anime: dark oak floor, wainscoting up to head height then misty purple walls (purple terracotta and crying obsidian), ceiling beams, a black carpet down the aisle, sixteen wooden pillars. Two stone oni guard the entrance, a red candle at their feet. Red
sacred cords are stretched over the weapons and between the pillars.
Seven
gold-trimmed wooden chests wait there, each with a weapon planted blade-down, flanked by two red candles:
| Position (walking in) | Weapon |
|---|---|
| End of the aisle | |
| Right, 1st | |
| Right, 2nd | |
| Right, 3rd | |
| Left, 1st | |
| Left, 2nd | |
| Left, 3rd |
Right-click a chest to take its weapon. The chest stays, dark and empty.
