Addon compatibility
What Great Sage does with other Tensura addons: voices, kanji, species in the carousel, Uniques at birth, and the special cases of FoxAblaze Ultimate, Date a Slime, TR Nightmare and TR Addon. Plus the one known conflict.
Great Sage depends on no Tensura addon, and it does not need to be introduced to the ones you install: it reads Tensura's registry. Any skill or species an addon declares there is handled on its own. This page says what that means in practice, then details the addons that get special treatment.
What works with any addon

Voiced addons
The skills of these mods have their names recorded (fully or partly): Tensura Mysticism, Elite Tensura, Tensura More Skills, TR Origins, TR Starlight, TR Ascension, TR Nightmare, TR Addon, More Overlord, TR Arcane, Date a Slime and FoxAblaze Ultimate. Species from TR Ascension, SlimeThroneExtras, Jeremis Tensura, More Overlord, TR Arcane and TR Addon are voiced too.
Special cases
FoxAblaze Ultimate
This addon has its own Raphael, and fuses Great Sage and Degenerate by itself as soon as both are mastered, removing Great Sage. Great Sage accounts for it (0.0.7):
- FoxAblaze's Raphael counts as the Sage: menu, Assess, remarks and voice stay available after the fusion;
- Great Sage's Raphael evolution scene plays when FoxAblaze grants its own, and the tree's capstone is marked as acquired;
- never two Raphaels.
FoxAblaze also plays its own English voice declaration; turn it off in its config (playSkillAcquisitionSounds). See Raphael's evolution.
Date a Slime
The angels of Date a Slime, dedek's companion addon, are announced as Ultimate skills, title included, the way the light novels write them (氷結傀儡〈ザドキエル〉…). They have their own kanji, kept apart from Tensura's same-name Ultimates (Michael, Metatron). They never join the reincarnation wishes.
TR Nightmare
- Two voice commands are specific to it: "evolve
" and "how do I evolve ", which run TR Nightmare's evolution commands. They do nothing if it is not installed. - Its
trnightmares:sentientskill is excluded from birth gifts by default (reincarnationExcludedSkills).
TR Addon and birth Uniques
By default (reincarnationAddonUniques = TENSURA_LIST), reincarnation only gives the addon Uniques that addons listed in Tensura's birth list (config/tensura/reincarnation_config.toml) — TR Addon lists Total Reflection and Devastator there, for instance. Special Uniques (dragon bonds, boss skills…) stay out. See Reincarnation.
Tensura's Rimuru mode
Tensura's rimuruMode gamerule has you born directly as a slime with Predator and Great Sage. Great Sage adds its narrated birth, modelled on episode 1 (0.0.7).
The known conflict
Servers
Great Sage is installed on the server and on every client. A client with the mod can join a server without it: there will simply be no announcements. See Getting started.
