Angel Mode Wheel

Hold G to open a wheel showing every mode of your Angel: aim at a slice, release, done. Essential for Zaphkiel's sixteen modes.

Released Interface v0.0.1 2 min read

A Date a Slime Angel has between three and sixteen modes. Scrolling through them one by one with Tensura's mode keys takes a while — especially going from Aleph to Yud Bet on Zaphkiel, Emperor of Eternity. The mode wheel shows them all at once: hold G, aim at a slice with the mouse, release, and the mode is set.

How to use it

  1. Put an Angel in a skill slot of your active Tensura preset.
  2. Hold G: the wheel opens in the middle of the screen, one slice per mode.
  3. Aim at a slice with the mouse: it pops out, lights up, and the centre of the wheel shows the mode's name, its magicule cost and its cooldown.
  4. Release G (or left-click): that mode is selected for the Angel's slot.
Action Effect
Hold G Opens the wheel
Aim at a slice Shows the mode's name, cost and cooldown
Release G / left-click Confirms the aimed mode
Scroll wheel Switches to the next Angel (if several are slotted)
Right-click / Esc Closes without changing anything

The game is not paused while the wheel is open: pick quickly in a fight.

What the wheel shows

  • In the centre: the Angel's icon, the aimed mode's name, its cost (in MP, magicule points) and its remaining cooldown.
  • Above: the Angel's name; below, one diamond per Angel in your preset, so you know which one you're on.
  • Slices take the Angel's colour. The currently selected mode has a coloured line on its inner edge. A mode on cooldown is darkened, with a red line and the seconds left under its name.
  • Each slice shows its mode number near the rim.

Several Angels

If several of the mod's Angels are slotted in your active preset, the scroll wheel switches between them. The wheel reopens on the last Angel you looked at (for the current game session), even if you rearranged your preset in between.

Good to know

  • The selected mode belongs to the skill slot: two slots holding two different Angels each keep their own mode.
  • Only Date a Slime Angels appear in the wheel, and only if they have at least two modes and are actually learned. A skill that is still "latent" (negative mastery in Tensura) doesn't show up.
  • If no Angel qualifies, the wheel doesn't open and shows: "No Angel with several modes in your active ability preset."
  • The choice is checked by the server: you can't select a mode that doesn't exist.
  • The key is rebound in Options › Controls, category Date a Slime, line Angel Mode Wheel. It sits on G so it doesn't clash with Tensura's keys.
