Rasiel

Nia Honjo's book, the Angel of Chokmah: it reads whatever you aim at and, on its blank page, answers what you draw or write — find, travel, summon, protect.

Early access Skill v0.0.2 7 min read

Rasiel (囁告篇帙〈ラジエル〉, Tome of Revelation) is the Angel of Nia Honjo, the second sephirah, Chokmah, Wisdom. It is an Ultimate skill shaped like a book with crosses on its covers, floating at your right at chest height and always turned towards you. Rasiel is not a weapon: it is a library. It reads whatever you aim at, and on its blank page it answers what you ask of it — find a player, a structure, a biome, an ore, travel, bring someone to you, call guardians, change the weather.

Getting the Angel

  • By command: /give @s dateaslime:sephira_chokmah, then right-click with the crystal to absorb it.
  • In survival: get a Qlipha Crystal of Chokmah (the Demon King Beelzebub) — Nia drops her own one time in a hundred, and any bearer boss can drop one at random — then purify it through hosts up to 100%. The whole loop is in Qlipha Crystals.

Using it

Put Rasiel in a Tensura skill slot: that slot's key fires the active mode. Switch modes with Tensura's mode keys, or hold G to open the mode wheel. All three modes are pressed (none is held), and all are available as soon as you acquire the Angel.

Omniscience and the blank page need the book to be out: without it, you get "Rasiel is not here." and nothing is spent. The book leaves on its own if you die, and it does not carry over between sessions: call it again after reconnecting.

The modes

Press. The book appears closed at your right, assembles, then opens by itself. Press again to send it away.

  • Cost: 350 magicules to call it, nothing to send it back.
  • Cooldown: 1 s.
  • The book follows you with a slight lag and always faces you. It cannot be harmed.

Press while aiming. The book turns towards what you aim at, leafs through itself for 2 seconds, then a page slides in from the right edge of the screen and stays for about twelve seconds.

  • Cost: 900 magicules. Cooldown: 20 s. Range: 48 blocks.
  • On a creature: its species, health, armour, attack, how long it has been around, what it carries, its active effects, what it is hunting, who wounded it, its position — and every skill it owns sorted by rank, in Tensura's order and colours: ultimate, unique, extra, common, intrinsic, resistance. Skills still being learned do not show.
  • On an Angel bearer (Spirits included): the page comes back scrambled, unreadable.
  • On a block: its name, position, hardness, light level, biome, and the five most common finds (ores, chests, spawners, ancient debris) in a 25-block cube around it.
  • On nothing: "The page stays blank." The cost and cooldown are still taken.

Press. The book opens wide on your screen: everything else Rasiel does lives here. You draw a shape, write a word, or both, then close the book: the ink dries for 3.5 seconds and the entry takes effect.

  • Cost to open: 300 magicules. Closing it without writing anything costs nothing more.
  • Real cost and cooldown: those of the entry you wrote, taken when the ink dries — from 800 magicules and 30 s for a census to 25,000 magicules and 15 minutes to summon a player.
  • 18 entries: find a player, a structure, a biome, a block; census; read an inventory; find your grave or your home; travel; summon a player; three golems; the Phantom Library; break the day; call the storm; quiet everything; mend; a wall of pages; a blessing.

Writing on the blank page

The screen

The book opens in the middle of the screen over a light veil: the game is not paused, you write in the middle of a fight.

  • Left page — the index "What the book reads": six entries per page, three pages. Each shows its shape in miniature (a quill for those that cannot be drawn), its name, its price in magicules and its cooldown, plus "needs a name" when you must write a player name. Turn the pages with the mouse wheel over the index, the up / down arrows (or Page Up / Page Down), or by clicking the ‹ › chevrons.
  • Right page — the drawing frame: draw in it with the mouse (hold left click), in as many strokes as you like.
  • The writing line, under the frame: it is always active, just type. Left / right arrows, Home, End, Backspace and Delete to edit (64 characters at most).
  • Erase clears the drawing. Close the book (or Enter) sends the entry. Esc closes without writing anything.

Drawing, word, or both

  • The drawing is recognised by its shape: stroke order, stroke count, direction, size and position in the frame do not matter. A scribble too far from every known shape is rejected.
  • The word: one of the entry's keywords (French or English, accents optional), possibly followed or preceded by what you are looking for — a player name, a structure, biome or block name.
  • Both agreeing: the entry is signed and its cooldown is cut by a quarter. If the drawing and the word point to two different entries, the word wins.

The ink drying

When the book closes, the mod checks you have enough magicules, then the ink dries for 3.5 seconds: the book writes, a golden bar rises above it and a scale of notes climbs. Everyone around sees and hears that something is happening. At the end the price is taken and the entry happens — "It is written" or "Signed and written".

Failing is free

  • Illegible page (no recognised shape, no keyword): nothing is taken.
  • Not enough magicules (checked before and after the ink): nothing is taken.
  • The entry finds nothing (unknown name, player not online, nothing to mend…): nothing is taken, and the page opens again after 10 seconds instead of the full cooldown.

Mode summary

Mode Key Cost Cooldown Effect
Manifest Press 350 MP (0 to dismiss) 1 s Calls or dismisses the book
Omniscience Press while aiming 900 MP 20 s Full file on a creature or a block, up to 48 blocks
The Blank Page Press 300 MP + the entry's price The entry's (30 s to 15 min) Draw / write one of the 18 entries

Locks and limits

  • The page's cooldown is the last entry's, and it locks the whole page: after a journey, no entry at all for 10 minutes (7 min 30 if signed).
  • Omniscience cannot read the future, a player's intentions, or Angel bearers: their page comes back scrambled.
  • Structure, biome and block searches only know vanilla Minecraft: names from other mods are refused.
  • Rasiel barely hits anything: its only offensive effect is the last page of the Phantom Library.
  • Summoned golems leave no loot and no experience.

Tips

  • Sign your expensive entries: drawing + keyword means a quarter less cooldown. Summoning a player and the Phantom Library cannot be drawn, so they can never be signed.
  • Search before you travel: the journey only leads to the last place the book found (player, structure, biome, block, grave or home).
  • Omniscience is the best scout in the mod: aim at a stranger to read their rank, skills and gear before starting a fight. A scrambled page already tells you something: they carry an Angel.
  • Aim at a wall block while mining: the file counts the ores and chests around it.
