The Twelve Bullets of Zaphkiel
Aleph, Bet, Gimel, Dalet, Hei, Vav, Zayin, Het, Tet, Yud, Yud Aleph, Yud Bet and the plain bullet: what each does on yourself, on a target and on the ground, with durations and costs.
The twelve bullets of
Zaphkiel bear the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, from Aleph (1) to Yud Bet (12), and each one comes out of the numeral of the same rank on the clock's dial. Every bullet has its own color, its letter painted on the projectile and its own line called out by Kurumi; a clock face spins around whatever it hits, its hands racing, crawling or running backwards depending on the bullet. This page details what each one does on yourself, on a target and on the ground.
How a bullet is fired
- Pick the bullet's mode (the skill slot's key, or the mode wheel by holding G) and press: the bullet is loaded. Time, magicules and cooldown are paid at that moment.
- Fire: right-click (flintlock) or left-click (musket) fires at whatever you aim at. The bullet leaves with whichever gun fires first.
- Sneak + click: the bullet goes into your own temple after 0.9 s. This is how you give yourself Aleph, Hei, Vav, Yud Aleph…
The bullet flies straight, without gravity, at 3.2 blocks per tick (64 blocks per second), towards the aimed point up to 64 blocks away. It hits the first living thing on its path (never you or your Het clones); otherwise it strikes the block, and some bullets then act on the ground. Nothing loaded: it is a plain bullet.

Each bullet in detail
Plain bullet — what the flintlock and the musket fire when nothing is loaded. Crimson, no letter, no time power: it wounds, that is all.
- Damage: 10 HP (5 hearts).
- Rate: one every 0.5 s per gun; the flintlock and the musket each have their own.
- Cost: none, neither magicules nor time.
- Sneaking with nothing loaded does nothing.
Aleph (1, א) — accelerates time.
- On a living being (you or a target): Aleph effect for 20 s — movement speed +70%, attack speed +60%, mining speed +60%. Removes Bet.
- On the ground: nothing.
- Cost: 6% time, 800 magicules. Cooldown: 6 s.
- Fired at an ally, it speeds them up too.
Bet (2, ב) — slows time almost to a halt.
- On a living being: Bet effect for 8 s — movement speed −85%, attack speed −70%, jump −50%, mining speed −70%. Removes Aleph.
- On the ground: nothing.
- Cost: 8% time, 1,200 magicules. Cooldown: 8 s.
- No effect on the Spirits, who accept no harmful effect.
Gimel (3, ג) — makes things mature.
- On a baby animal: it becomes an adult on the spot.
- On any other living being: Gimel effect for 10 s — attack damage −30%, speed −20%, and 1 HP lost every 2 s to old age, never below 2 HP: nobody dies of Gimel.
- On the ground: the blocks around the impact (5 × 5, from one block below the impact to two above) get up to thirty growth ticks: crops, saplings, copper oxidation, anything the game ages on its own.
- Cost: 7% time, 1,000 magicules. Cooldown: 6 s.
Dalet (4, ד) — turns time back.
- On a living being: its health returns to the highest value of the last 6 seconds (it never goes down), fire goes out and every harmful effect is removed.
- On the ground: blocks torn away by explosions in the last 2 minutes, within 10 blocks, come back as they were, from the bottom up — Lataibu's craters included. Blocks with contents (chests…) are not remembered.
- Cost: 15% time, 2,000 magicules. Cooldown: 10 s.
Hei (5, ה) — shows the future.
- On a living being: Hei effect for 15 s. One blow from an attacker per second does not land: you step aside (1.3 blocks, if there is room). For a player, monsters and anything targeting them within 24 blocks glow through walls.
- On the ground: nothing.
- Cost: 10% time, 1,500 magicules. Cooldown: 12 s.
- Shoot it at yourself: on an enemy, the enemy is the one dodging.
Vav (6, ו) — sends consciousness into the past.
- On yourself: a one-minute anchor, marked by a glowing afterimage. While it holds, a lethal blow (except
/kill) — or a second Vav shot at yourself — brings you back to that moment: same place (dimension included), same health, same hunger, same effects; fire goes out. - On a target: it finds itself where it stood 5 s ago, forgets what it was chasing and gets Nausea for 5 s. If it has not moved, nothing happens.
- On the ground: nothing.
- Cost: 15% time, 2,500 magicules. Cooldown: 10 s.
Zayin (7, ז) — stops time.
- On a target: stopped for 10 s (a player for 5 s). It no longer moves, thinks, or even falls; a player is held in place, controls cut, skills sealed, unable to hit or use anything. Every hit it takes is held back, added up, and lands all at once when time resumes.
- On yourself: everything within 10 blocks stops (creatures 10 s, players 5 s), except you, your clones and your pets — including projectiles in flight, dropped items, lit TNT and falling blocks. A grey dome marks the area.
- On the ground: the same within 6 blocks of the impact.
- Cost: 20% time, 3,000 magicules. Cooldown: 15 s.
- Spirits cannot be stopped.
Het (8, ח) — calls the shadows of the past.
- Two clones rise from your shadow, wearing your skin and a flintlock, for 40 s. Four at most: beyond that, the oldest sink back.
- Health: half your maximum health, at least 40 HP.
- On a target: they aim at it right away. On yourself or the ground: they follow you and shoot whatever attacks you or whatever you attack, up to 28 blocks away.
- They fire plain bullets (credited to their wielder), shoot Aleph into their own temple when engaging (every 25 s) and fire Bet at their target (every 15 s).
- They never hurt you or each other, and your bullets pass through them. Too far from you (24 blocks), they rejoin you through the shadow. They drop nothing.
- Cost: 30% time, 5,000 magicules. Cooldown: 30 s.
Tet (9, ט) — links consciousness.
- On a target: your view jumps into its eyes for 12 s; your body stays put, motionless, and the target glows. Press the sneak key to come back early.
- On yourself: for 15 s, every living thing within 48 blocks can be seen through walls — by you alone.
- On the ground: nothing.
- Cost: 15% time, 2,500 magicules. Cooldown: 20 s.
Yud (10, י) — reads memories.
- On a target: its path over the last minute appears as silhouettes (for you only), and a card is shown for 15 s: how long it has existed, its health, who hurt it and when, whom it struck and when, what it is hunting, a villager's home and workplace, a player's last death location and respawn point, the distance walked, its learned skills (six at most).
- On yourself: the same about you.
- On the ground: "Memories of this place" — up to eight creatures that passed within 8 blocks in the last minute, with their paths and how long ago.
- Cost: 10% time, 2,000 magicules. Cooldown: 12 s.
Yud Aleph (11, יא) — sends into the future.
- On yourself: you leave the present as a spectator for 5 s — invisible, untouchable, free to fly and pass through walls, and your clock is hidden. On arrival, you are healed by 25% of your maximum health, fire goes out and your harmful effects lose 30 s. Landing inside a wall sends you back to your starting point.
- On a player: spectator for 6 s, no healing on return.
- On a creature: it vanishes for 10 s (untouchable, forgotten by monsters), then comes back where it was.
- On the ground: the day moves ahead by a quarter over 3 s, the sun racing across the sky. Refused if the day-night cycle is stopped (Segva, or game rule).
- Cost: 25% time, 4,000 magicules. Cooldown: 25 s.
- Spirits cannot be sent into the future.
Yud Bet (12, יב) — brings back into the past.
- On yourself: your body becomes what it was 30 s ago: position (dimension included), health, hunger; fire goes out.
- On a target: 1 minute ago.
- On the ground: a violet wave of 24 blocks spreads over 2.5 s, and every block changed nearby in the last 5 minutes — broken, placed, burned, blown up, pushed — turns back into what it was, except where a creature is standing.
- Cost: 300% time, 8,000 magicules. Cooldown: 45 s.
- 300% is three times your full time: you must first feed in the City of Devouring Time.
