Conflagrate Bow · Slime Art Online

The Conflagrate Bow is the Divine Object of Deusolbert Synthesis Seven. Before it was a bow, it was the phoenix of the oldest volcano of the Southern Empire: large, red and gold, it shoots arrows much faster and heavier than an ordinary bow. Its Enhance Armament sets its arrows on fire; its Release Recollection gives the firebird back to the sky, where it dives onto your enemies and sets everything within eight blocks ablaze.

It is fire resistant. When it sits in the hotbar without being held, it is slung across the back, from the right shoulder to the left hip (see Scabbards and carrying weapons). Its tooltip: "Divine Object · Priority 45". Its arts need an Object Control Authority of 45 and 55. See Divine Objects and Armament Full Control.

Speaking with the bow drawn

The bow isn't commanded like a sword: draw it first, hold it, then say or type the art. It arms itself on the nocked arrow and leaves when you release it. With the bow at rest, the art is refused: "Draw the bow first, hold it, then speak the art: it leaves with the arrow."

The bow's two arts have their own separate cooldowns: unlike the swords, you can chain Enhance Armament and Release Recollection.

Incantation: Enhance Armament, bow drawn — OCA 45 or more.

You release the arrow: the bow catches fire, string and limbs in flames. Right away, a volley of four flame arrows fires on its own toward your gaze (from 0.3 s to 0.75 s, as long as the bow is in your hand). Then, for 12 s, every shot leaves as a flame arrow; at full draw, the bow fires three in a fan (9° apart).

A flame arrow flies and drops like an arrow, hits with the damage of an arrow shot from the bow, sets what it touches on fire and bursts into a spray of flame. It cannot be picked up, and goes out in water.

You aim the bow at the sky and release: the arrow climbs straight up, a double spiral of fire in its wake, and bursts 18 blocks up: the phoenix is born from it, wings folded, then spreads them — fifteen blocks wide — with a cry. It glides toward the target area in a curve, beating its great wings and scattering ember feathers, then folds its wings and dives.

At 4.9 s comes the conflagration: a giant burst, everything burns, everything is thrown back. A column of fire then spins for 3 s, and a ring of flames runs across the ground out to about ten blocks.

Tips

To open a fight, draw, say Enhance Armament, release: the nocked arrow and the volley leave together, five fire arrows at once.
Release Recollection lands at least 14 blocks away: don't use it on an enemy right next to you.
Aim at a creature for the Release: the phoenix follows it while it glides.
