System Call: casting a Sacred Art

How an incantation is built: System Call, Generate, shape, flight arguments and closing word — by voice or in chat.

Every Sacred Art starts with the same two words: System Call. What follows is composed like a sentence — create elements, shape them, choose how they fly, then release them. The mod understands the grammar of the anime and the novels, whether you say it into a microphone or type it in chat.

In chat

  • Type the incantation in chat, in one message or several: system call, then generate umbra element, then discharge.
  • A message counts as an incantation only if it is nothing but commands and starts with System Call (or an incantation is already open). Otherwise it goes to chat as usual.
  • It is not broadcast to the whole server: only players within 24 blocks read it, in purple italics.
  • Case, punctuation and plurals are ignored: System Call. Generate Umbra Element! equals system call generate umbra element.

By voice

  • In wake mode (default), the mod listens constantly, but only for incantation words; saying "System Call" opens an incantation.
  • In push mode, it only listens while you hold the incantation key (to be bound in the controls).
  • Recognition is offline and only knows incantations: it cannot understand anything else. See Voice recognition.

What closes an incantation

Death, dimension change, logging out they vanish

What others see

Held elements float at your fingertips and cores circle above your head; any nearby player watches them form, change shape and fly. The incantation console shows your commands while you speak.

Arts that need no System Call

Some arts belong to the item you hold rather than to the system: they are spoken on their own, without an opener.
