Stacia Window
Draw the sign of Stacia and tap: the system window shows the Unit ID, Durability, class or authorities of whatever you aim at.
In the Underworld, everything that exists — a tree, a sword, a person — carries a system window. You open it by drawing the sign of Stacia with your fingers, then touching the thing. Slime Art Online keeps that gesture: hold N, draw an S with the mouse, tap — and the anime's violet panel opens above whatever you aim at, with its Unit ID, its Durability and its class or authorities.
Opening a window
- Aim at what you want to read, within arm's reach.
- Hold N: the mouse is freed, a violet veil settles over the world and a system circle slowly turns in the centre.
- Draw an S in a single stroke, left button held down, top to bottom as you would write the letter. Release the button.
- The sign is recognised: it lights up and a crystal chime rings. Click (the novel's "tap") to open the window at that spot — or release N to open it at the end of the stroke.
- The sign failed: the stroke turns red, trembles and crumbles. Try again, N still held. Releasing N with no recognised sign gives up.
What opens?
What counts is what you aim at when you press N:
| You aim at… | The window of… |
|---|---|
| a creature or a player | that unit |
| an item lying on the ground | that item |
| a block | that block |
| nothing, an item in hand | the held item (main hand, then off hand) |
| nothing, empty hands | yourself |
| (in an inventory) a hovered item | that item |
In an inventory or a chest, hover over an item and press N: the drawing and the window appear on top of the inventory, without closing it.
What it shows
The window shows the Unit Type tab at the top (for anything that is not a person), the Unit ID and the unit's silhouette on the left, and three rows on the right.
| Target | Unit Type | Unit ID | Rows |
|---|---|---|---|
| Player | — | 3 letters + 5 digits | Object Control Authority, Durability, System Control Authority |
| Villager | — | 3 letters + 5 digits | Object Control Authority, Durability, System Control Authority |
| Other creature | Creature/<name> |
3 letters + 6 digits | Class NONE, Durability |
| Non-living entity | Object/<name> |
3 letters + 6 digits | Class NONE, Durability NONE |
| Block | Object/<category> |
3 letters + 6 digits | Class NONE, Durability |
| Item | Object/<category> |
3 letters + 6 digits | Class (a Divine Object's Priority, otherwise NONE), Durability |
Durability
- Creatures and players: health × 100 (the
durabilityPerHealthsetting), current over maximum. The value changes live while you watch. - Items that wear out (tools, weapons, armor): their real remaining durability.
- Food: how much it feeds.
- Blocks: derived from their hardness;
∞for an unbreakable block. A tree trunk is worth its mass: about 1,000 per connected log. A crop shows its growth.
Categories
The first character of an item's or block's Unit ID gives its category: Tree, Crop, Plant, Ore, Earth, Stone, Water, Container, Block for blocks; Food, Weapon, Tool, Armor, Material for items.
Villagers
The people of the Underworld have modest authorities: Object Control Authority 1 to 25, System Control Authority 1 to 8, always the same for a given villager.
The Unit ID
The identifier never changes: the same tree, the same wolf, the same player always have the same one, on every client. It is what you spell in a Trace so that your elements — or a Transfer Durability — find their target wherever it is.
Closing
Esc, N, the inventory key, a right click, or a click outside the panel. The window folds up the way it opened. The game is never paused.
