Fragrant Olive Sword

Alice's sword, Stacia's first immortal object: it scatters into a stream of golden petals that follows your gaze.

In development Weapon v0.0.1 4 min read

The Fragrant Olive Sword is the Divine Object of Alice Synthesis Thirty. It was once an osmanthus tree beside a spring, at the heart of the village that would become Centoria: the very first immortal object Stacia ever made. Its Enhance Armament undoes the blade into thousands of golden petals that follow your gaze; its Release Recollection turns them into an endless river that engulfs its target and bursts into a star.

Its tooltip: "Divine Object · Priority 47". Its arts need an Object Control Authority of 47 (Enhance Armament) and 57 (Release Recollection). See Divine Objects and Armament Full Control.

Armament Full Control

With the sword in your main hand, say or type the art, no System Call. While the petals are out, the sword only shows its guard and hilt; the blade reforms in a cross-shaped flash when they return.

Incantation: Enhance Armament — OCA 47 or more.

The system circles stack along the blade, then at 0.6 s it bursts: a jet of golden petals leaves from the tip. For 16 s the stream follows your gaze up to 28 blocks (it stops short of the first block you look at). Each petal weighs an absurd amount: the stream crushes and throws more than it cuts.

  • Sneaking, the stream coils around you at 2.6 blocks, like a shield.
  • Any projectile that isn't yours and crosses the stream is swallowed.
  • Saying Enhance Armament again recalls the petals: they circle you once, flow back into the hilt, and the blade reforms. The recall also happens on its own after 16 s or if you let go of the sword.
Value
Reach 28 blocks ahead of you
Stream thickness 1.4-block radius
Damage 3 × power every 0.15 s to whatever the stream touches (no invulnerability frames)
Effect pushed along the stream
Defence destroys enemy projectiles crossing it
Duration 16 s, or until recalled
Cooldown 1 s (so you don't relaunch while recalling)
Spares you and your allies
Gain +2 OCA XP

The stream strikes up to about seven times a second: kept on a target, it melts its health very fast (at OCA 47, close to 29 damage per second of contact).

Incantation: Release Recollection — OCA 57 or more.

Any petals still out dissipate. The sword raised, system discs stack along the blade and burst into sparks. At 1.7 s the blade undoes itself into a river of petals that snakes toward what you are looking at — a creature first, up to 64 blocks — and coils around its target, grinding and pulling toward its heart everything it swallows.

Then, along the river, five star-shaped glints light up and leap one after another as golden fireballs; finally, at 6.4 s, a giant four-pointed star bursts on the target. The blade reforms at 7 s.

Value
Target the creature you aim at, else the block, up to 64 blocks
River 3.2-block radius, from 1.7 s to 5.2 s
River damage 3.5 × power every 0.2 s, pulls in, Slowness II 2 s
Glints (×5) 9 × power within 3.5 blocks each
Final star 30 × power within 10 blocks (half at the edge), knockback
Duration 7 s
Cooldown 90 s (shared by both arts)
Spares you and your allies
Gain +6 OCA XP

At OCA 57 (power 1.57), the final star deals 47 at its centre.

Tips

  • Crouch against archers: the stream coiled around you swallows their arrows.
  • Recalling is free: say Enhance Armament again once the fight is over to get your blade back.
  • Release Recollection looks for a creature on your line of sight first: aim at the boss, not the ground in front of it.
